Howard Benjamin Grose (1851-1939)

誕生:1851年9月5日、ニューヨーク州ミラートン。
死亡:1939年3月19日、ニューヨーク州ボールストン・スパ。
埋葬地:ニューヨーク州ボールストン・スパ。

Groseはイリノイ州のシカゴ大学、ニューヨークのロチェスター大学に学んだ(1876年に学士号、1880年に修士号)。1883年にバプテストの教職として按手を受け、ニューヨーク州のポキプシーの第一バプテスト教会（1883-87)、ペンシルベニア州ピッツバーグ(1880-90)の第一バプテスト教会で仕えた。彼はサウスダコタ大学の学長も務め(1890-92)、シカゴ大学で歴史を教え(1892-96)、マサチューセッツ州ボストンでWatchman誌の編集助手を務め(1896-1900)、またアメリカ・バプテスト・ホーム・ミッション協会の編集書記を務め(1904-10)、Missions journal誌を23年にわたって編集した。彼は晩年をニューヨークのマウント・ヴァーノンで過ごした。
