誕生:1862年11月27日、アイオワ州ブルームフィールド（誕生名はSarah Addison Pollard）。 死亡:1934年12月20日、ニューヨーク市。 72歳だったAdelaide女史は、1934年にニューヨーク市の家から、クリスマス休暇のためにニュージャージーの町に向かう途中に、集会を持つ予定であったが、ニューヨーク市の駅で、著しく具合が悪くなった。すぐに近くのY.W.C.A.の施設に運ばれたが、間もなく盲腸の破裂で息を引き取った。（Emurian, pp. 36-40） 埋葬地:アイオワ州フォート・マジソンのエルムウッド墓地。
100曲を越える賛美歌とゴスペル・ソングの作者であったPollardは、アイオワ州デンマーク、インディアナ州ヴァルアリソ、ボストン説教者学校、シカゴのムーディー聖書学校、ニューヨークのクリスチャン・アライアンスのクリスチャン・宣教師訓練校で学ぶ。しばらくの間、エヴァンジェリストのJohn Alexander Dowieと共に働き、第一次世界大戦の後、スコットランドからアフリカにいって奉仕する。後年、ニューヨークに戻った。
