誕生：1590年、プロイセン、ドムナウ（現在、ロシア、ドムノヴォ）
死亡：1635年8月1日、プロイセン、ケーニヒスベルク（現在、ロシア、カリーニングラード）

ゲオルク・ヴァイセルの父親は、裁判官であり後にドムナウ市長となったヨハン・ヴァイセルであった。ゲオルクはケーニヒスベルク大学で学び（1608-11）、ヴィッテンベルク、ライプツィヒ、イェーナ、ストラスブール、バーゼル、マールブルクで短期間勉強した。1614年、フリートランド（現ロシア、プラヴジンスク）の学校の校長に任命されたが、3年後に辞職し、神学の研究を再開するためにケーニヒスベルクに戻った。最終的には1623年に、ケーニヒスベルクに新しく建てられたアルトシュタット教会の牧師となり、残りの生涯を過ごした。
